LZ always gave the credit to the original black blues as did almost all of the rockers in that genre from that time. Anyone who doesn't think LZ is in the top 10 greatest hard rock bands of all time has serious musical taste issues...bad taste that is. If you think Led Zeppelin should have just made it clear that their music was highly lifted from previous songs then I agree with that. But if you think Zeppelin is just trash cause they "stole everything" then your not giving credit to, or you aren't even hearing, the culture, vibe, and sheer sound they invented and brought to this music. To me Led Zeppelin and all the British Invasion brought something to Blues Music that I wouldn't want to live in a world without.

What did LZ actually steal here? The lyrics? These ain't exactly the world's best poem ever and in the LZ version, the dude dies in the end...Both versions are very different and have merit.

Whoever says that Led Zep is all plagiarism is truly exaggerating. Did they steal Stairway to Heaven from somebody else? Even if Led Zep were a one-hit-wonder band, that song alone has been covered so many times live by other bands that it wouldn't be fair to call Led Zep a 100% plagiarist.
