I put a cd on in the car and now my grandchildren are always asking to hear the Vent du Nord. They are English kids who don't speak a word of French, the music rises above the language barrier. Cant wait to se them again at the Haymarket in Basingstoke.. Roll it on mes Amis10 years ago

My god... in what area do you live? There are still people like that in 2013? Becoming paranoid when hearing French? My grandfather was raised in rural Alberta, in the 1920's... French canadian of course (I am Québécoise) .. he was told to "speak white" all the time... but in 2013? wow...11 years ago

Bonjour, I live in Wisconsin, not that far from Quebec as the crow flies. I cannot speak or understand French :( Up until a year ago I had never heard traditional Québécois music--- since then I've been introduced to the music of De Temps Antan and Genticorum. Tonight I stumbled upon Le Vent du Nord-- I LOVE THIS MUSIC-- the percussive feet, the call and response. Sometimes I wonder if I was a voyageur in a previous life...11 years ago
