the guys from Lazarus are actually friends of mine and i LOVE seeing them praised. i just had to comment because i think its awesome how that was THE night of the superbowl and u decided to review an album of theirs who, trust me, are huge packer fans.....except one.....he likes the bears for some reason, and you're a steelers fan and you STILL gave them a good review. much respect man.

@Thrasher9996 I completely agree. Black Rivers Flow is tolerable, but The Onslaught is aptly named. It's an unstoppable raging maelstrom of pissed-as-fuck thrash/groove that doesn't relent for a moment, and has no elements of these metalcore-esque harsh/clean alternation. The closest thing to that is the alternating use of standard thrash barks mixed with Phil Anselmo-style growls and groove harshness.

I thought the album was pretty cool. Really groovy, borderline metalcore but it was still great. If there's one thing I have to give them, it's that they've really evolved their sound and grown a bit. Definitely looking forward to their next release.

I think they only started working on this album last year, I seen them live early 2010 and apparently before the tour started or something one of the bands members experienced a death in the family and some other stuff. Good review.
