Unplugged is an album of Eric Clapton that was released in August 1992. It was recorded live on January 16, 1992 in Film Studies from Windsor Bray, England, for the MTV series Unplugged.1 This album includes the acoustic version of "Tears in Heaven" and a special version of "Layla" with different arrangements it also presents two interpretations of other authors who have influenced Clapton quite like Robert Johnson and Big Bill Broonzy.

For this album Clapton earned three Grammy Awards in the categories "Album of the Year", "Male Vocalist of rock" and "Best Rock Song", plus three for the recording of "Tears in Heaven".

In 2000, Q magazine placed it at number 71 on the list of "100 Greatest British Albums of all time." Some media have referred to this album as the source of the success of the series unplugged from the U.S. television network MTV and as a return to blues roots Eric.3 4
