Hi there , I am watching from Provence - France . I was great friends with Lorraine / Laurel in the late 80s until her tragic death . On my farm on the Central Coast of NSW , we would chop veggies , collect eggs , chill and talk of life . She would sometimes break into song , and I was amazed , her voice was better the ONJ .She had told me about the leukaemia , I also knew Mark well , her partner and sax player . We travelled and met and many auctions together , eventually to buy at her own antique / deceased estate at her home in Brighton . I bought a moment which I have here in France to remember her by . She is often in my heart and mind ! Never to be forgotten !!

It is sad she didn't get the recognition she deserved. It was an era dominated by male singers but that sexist barrier was soon removed!

It was originally by Andrea Carroll, but made more famous by Diane Ray a sort of Skeeter Davis sound alike. Diane Ray should not be confused with Diane Renay of "Navy Blue" fame.

@gcpayne It's only because the sound track is out of sync with the picture, even Brian Henderson's intro is different to the picture. Check out Laurel singing "Good Day Sunshine" live with Seeker Athol Guy and backed by The Twilights, top stuff!.
