to anybody who doesnt like this: I get you, its weird as fuck and it shouldnt work....but somehow few albums have had a greater effects on me than this. I guess she really does music from deep within, ignoring some guidelines and ideas that could help you find your way around the track. After a few listens, to me, this album is undeniable music.

I love how I didn't even notice the gore when I saw the cover art the first time, I was just like: "Ooh pretty colours." I like the contrast between the prettiness of the picture and the darkness of what's actually happening. On another note, Laurel is amazing live, actually. Anyone who's bothered by her voice for whatever reason: She did a fully instrumental show around here, idk if all her shows are like that but this one was, and it was glorious.

that's not what i'm saying. i'm saying, at least she has some tradition mixed in with the other elements of the music. though i earlier said that the music mostly isn't original, i did say that she does have potential, because she has been trained in some way with music through the piano... versus a person just making noise on a loop or something and calling themselves a musician.. which is ok, but it's slightly annoying. but people are whatever

the only impressive thing in this music is her use of the piano, but other than that i can't say there's much true originality in the music she's making. i kind of get that "dark girl, hipster" vibe from this.. some of it is good, though. but... nothing new. i'm mostly speaking from a technical side though. sometimes i neglect joying the abstract world of simple music or experimentation. maybe i am slightly jealous of the overrated appeal of this music. i'd say she has potential though.
