Laura's performance of Helpless as Kate Lawrence is the opening scene of her 1988 movie "Backstage". She's said herself that the film is basically autobiographical. An American rock star wanting to act, and Australia is the only opportunity around. She was also the musical consultant for the film, naturally. The opening segment of this video is a pivotal scene, early in the plot. I added it to cover opening credits and because it looks like it was a blast to shoot.
