I think Laura did a great job on this song. Donna Summers version came first so we are partial to that version. I am a HUGE Laura Branigan fan but I have to say I prefer Donna's version. But you have to admit Laura has a stronger voice.

RIP Laura. This is a really nice cover, but it's not on par with Donna Summer. Even Laura Branigan would agree with that.

I love this version alot more than Donna Summer's. Love Donna's version, but Laura has a more powerful voice.

Hmmmm, I don't know about that either. Donna Summer had a pretty good range. Granted Laura's range (of which I heard was 5 octaves) definitely could out sing just about anyone in her time. Laura definitely had quite a bit of power in her voice and that was one of the things I liked about her singing.

Oh, no no no. I wouldn't go THAT far. I love both Laura and Donna, but Donna's is vastly better. HOWEVER, I do give a thumbs up to Laura as she can nicely sing this song. I don't particularly care for the arrangement even though it is close to the original. Laura has also done a nice cover of Turn The Beat Around, but DO view the (faster) live version as it is much better than her album version. RIP to both Laura and Donna -- the golden voices of the 70's & 80's.

It wan't an opinion! Just a fact! Look at the record sales and awards honey. And stop hating! How dare you, with your insignificant self compare her to a TRUE diva!

Way better than Donna Summer's tune R.I.P dear Laura

Deep N. Hard

this is easier for laura to sing as she has a 4 octave range whereas donna summer had to force herself to hit the higher notes such as "the lights", "to worry"
