Unexpected, but terrific, collaboration with Richard Tognetti, the Artistic Director of The Australian Chamber Orchestra. Recorded late `90s or early `00s on Channel 10 Australia`s TV show The Panel.

Couldn't decide which zinger you liked more? And to your other comment directed at me, obviously I did listen to his violin. There's no disputing how good of a musician he is. But it's comparable to those talking about Dizzy Gillespie and saying that, no, on most trumpet players, you don't want the puffy cheeks. Doesn't diminish his worth, but it's not the example to teach young/inexperienced musicians.

I love his posture and his playing, he can probs play as well standing on his head...awesome.

We all sit a bit strangely when we're listening intently in an improv situation. Musicians look like oddly-shaped fungi when they're listening carefully.

@mydlands Oops. I seem to have spelled Richard's surname wrong. I honestly always thought it was "Tongetti" (like an Italian name.) Double oops.

Strange... I know Tongetti is one of the best there is, and yet he's using very poor posture. I am surprised that his instrument isn't under his chin but is held to his body more like a country fiddler. I know it's not a classical song, but I wouldn't expect him to play it that way. And just for sayin'... I want Richard, Neil and Iva Davies together on a project. That would be magnificent.
