Larry Wallis - Police Car, 1977, Stiff Records 45, Buy 22.

Recorded at Electric Landlady Studios, Islington, London.

Without question Stiff Records were the most important record label to be established in the mid - to late seventies. This is one of those very brilliant singles that come by and you will keep forever.

Another great STIFF recording by one of the best during the late '70's. Played it 100+x. Thanks for putting this one up - You gotta whale......

I had this on a Stiff compilation record in the 70's, loved it. I think of Adam 12 when I listen.

In the early 1980's, this song was on the jukebox at the Starry Plough Irish Pub in Berkeley, Calif., but on that one the record ended wonderfully with the wailing siren of the police car. Was that by someone else or is a shortened version of the original?

Try the Nick Lowe site. Ask him nicely and he'll certainly oblige.

@Alifyfe1 Look at the label a little closer, it's Electric Landlady Studio in Islington, over in England. That was also the title of a Kirsty MacColl album.
