Lara Fabian has been ever sung "I Will Always Love You" at least four times may be this is a first time to sing that song. I admit definitely whitney's rendition was the best but Lara is still amazing. In my opinion, she sings the best after Whitney

Houston version.

The song seems very easy and comfortable for Lara to sing, just like that when she covered Vision of love by Mariah. :-)

One of the best voices ever in light music, I feel. She was born in Belgium with a Belgian father but yet the general public here doesn't know her and I wonder why. Is it because the cerebral taste in NW Europe ? She seems to sing often so emotional, almost pathetic for "us". Yet in more southern countries and Russia they seem to accept that.

I love Whitney's version and when I opened this video I thought it was going to be as powerless as every single cover that has been made in the past 25 years but damn... she actually sang it the way Whitney sang it in studio and never did live (I mean, with all the runs and with just three or four breath-takes)... I think nobody can sing Adagio the way Lara does, just as much I used to think nobody could top Whitney's I will always love you but damn! I'm really REALLY amazed.

Coming from someone with a LOT of respect for Whitney, that version was equal to the Whitney rendition. Not quite as much power, but brilliant control and grasp of the song. Brava.

if u notice people covering whitney houston songs are like it is not their 'comfort' voice to sing although they may somehow hit the notes whitney did. that's why there is different between legend and great one.

What the...."The best and most powerful voice in the world - Lara Fabien." Wrong. Ever heard of Karen Carpenter?

You're right. The song was written by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton.

Whitney is not the original singer of this song, her version is a cover too.

The full voice parts are great...but what makes the difference in this song is the beauty of the heady parts, which Whitney did uniquely.

Well at least this version belongs to Whitney. It's the song of this version that has become a benchmark and challenge to so many singers. And to many people, this version is one of the most inspirational. Whitney should be proud in my opinion.

I love Lara Fabian, been a fan a long time. However, Whitney Houston owns this song and always will. Dolly wrote a nice song, though.
