Love the song! I like Lana very much as a woman and the music she makes. I just wish she could stop singing about drugs and dying. Next to our apartment there are these drug dealers apartment and i saw a girl entering looking a lil bit like Lana. Pitiful that until she reaches late 20s she will be all fucked up.

This song is great because of its odd sound of sounding both happy but haunting. One thing I wanted to say is people are taking the word "jump" too literal, meaning this song isn't about suicide (per se). "Jump" is slang for going under the influence of drugs, and her saying "palm trees in black and white, last thing I saw before I died" could refer to her blacking out or ODing after taking the Speedball mix. Also, "the grin of a very old man" can refer to meth mouth which (to me) makes the song that much more of a contrast between sound and meaning.
