Lakyn came into the Australian music scene consciousness by way of a series of covers the young musician uploaded to YouTube, and more notoriously via his stint on the televised singing contest The Voice.

Ready to step out from the shadows of others and show off his own wares, Lakyn released his debut EP Better Than That back in November 2012. With acoustic guitar in hand, Lakyn recently gave a solo performance of single With The Water at Music Feeds Studio.

"I mostly put out covers because I felt comfortable. I didn't feel like anyone was going to judge my songwriting abilities or anything like that. I was just kind of babying my songwriting in my room, just working away until I felt comfortable," the musician explained to Music Feeds.
