It's interesting that a singer in Finland would choose to record an American song in English rather than in her own native language, but it's yet another sign of how American pop culture has been so internationally influential for a long time. Even more interesting to me is how much she sounds like an American, with hardly any accent.

Sadly, Laila K. has been dead for years, because of her tragic life with illness called alcoholism. But great voice she really had, in many kinds of music types. Yes, we Finns drink little too much, but you can also go on living without drinking at all, or at least without drinking too much...
