I doubt the accuracy and veracity of everything that Marion Jacobsen has ever written. Her accuracy in "Squeeze This" is about 20%. How she ever got a doctorate in anything is beyond me.

I need to reply to myself by adding, that this does not mean that I don't enjoy Dick's playing. He was and is still, an amazing Accordionist and I still stand amazed at his ability. He's one of the greats!

Dick was quite the showman, but I always liked Myron Floren's version of Lady Of Spain much better. Floren's playing in general was, I felt, more enjoyable to listen to. Though Contino is good, his playing is sometimes a bit cluttered with acrobatics. Just my opinion.
