This was one group I loved to hear sang!!! Ms. Patti don't hurt them boo!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Patti backstage in Miami, FL 11/15/14, take photos, & I sent her 3 dozen long stem roses!!! A night to remember!! 70 years old and STILL kicking ass!!! You go girl!!!!

Truthserum101 after Labelle disbanded Luther Vandross did do a lot of BG vocals for Patti ( as well with real real early David Bowie and Roberta Flack ) and also there were 2 other vocalist who accompanied Luther on these projects and they were Fonzi Thornton ( who did put out an album ) and Tawatha Agee ( mtume ) who also put out an album of here own.

Lets not sugar coat it though. They did not break up without much tension and there were reports of tension on this reunion tour. But they made it through and put on great shows overall. Tremendous performers and something magical happens when they are together.

I want to respectfully disagree w/you showtime211. When I go to a live concert, I want to hear something different from the record. I want to hear the soul & truth of the artist. Thats why I love Patti, she rarely sings a song the same way twice. She feels it, and however she feels itm, thats how she sings it. If I want the record, I can stay home & play it. This is a treat.
