Sure, you're right. I'm singing opera and I would fail when singing pop and ruin my voice 'cause I've got the wrong technique for it. But these people try and it's okay that people come and complain about it 'cause it's not very good or brilliant it's just normal for beginners to sing like that. And it's horrible to see them singing these GORGEOUS arias disregarding completely the kind of voice they've been written for. But otherwise this series brings opera to the nation. So why complain?

A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. Sorry don't want this to happen to m

@luiszaoo Im aware that she is a coloratura mezzo, thanks. If you read my comment correctly, I dont say what she is. I started talking about sopranos after I mentioned Renee Fleming. And yeah, Celilia Bartolli is an amazing Mezzo.

I can't believe they've now used this song twice. Kym's version is deffinately better.

@potterclybtv I have. Maria Callas is one of my greatest inspriations<3 and her coloratura is AMAZING<3 Although I have to say Cecilia Bartoli is my favoriate coloratura of all time easily. Along with Renee Fleming and a few other sopranos. Im a vocal performance major, and im studying to be an Opera singer(lyrico-spinto soprano.

Why is a soprano singing a mezzo aria? This is stupid. A for effort on such a difficult song. Ive heard way worse takes on this.

tells us that opera is WAY harder to sing than a pop song

Basso profundo?! Basso MEGA profundo!! But I still think Swing Era music is a better genre for his voice (see e.g. his performance on STV). And Bernie Nolan and Marcella Detroit were MUCH more deserving contenders for the title of 'Popstar to Opera Star'.
