I love hearing how some of my favourite artists interpret this song. The original is heart wrenchingly superb, hence why people want to cover it. My two favourite knock it out of the ball park covers are HIM's totally different version and Jimmy Gnecco singing it because his voice is spectacular - his cover of Crying by Roy Orbison is amazing and that's another song that's hard to do justice to and put your own personality into.This is certainly an interesting twist on the lyrics and gives the song a new meaning. It's like this is the start of a relationship and the original is the end of it. Kris, your voice is amazing on this. So sultry and bluesy with a tinge of longing - vocally very true to Chris Isaak's. Absolutely nailed it for me.
