I think Kris is, first and foremost, a poet, in his soul. His thoughts speak to a lot of people, and he's able to put them to music; lucky for us. I have loved him for decades, and I can certainly relate to the memory loss. He's so bright and he has always been true to himself. I admire him for that!! He is NOT demented.
