How to rank thrash metal bands these days:15)Annihilator - They keep writing the same lyrics from when since they started.14)!Sepultura - They are kinda crossover thrash and groove , ever since Max left the band has sank down, I mean they don’t even play songs from Beneath the remains and Schizophrenia and the only old stuff I see them play is Troops of doom , Arise , Dead embryonic cells and Roots + their music material from the 90’s composed by Andreas Kisser.13)Death Angel - I’m not a huge Death Angel fan but I can still headbanging to their music.12) Dark Angel - They still show that they can play their old songs fast.11)Coroner - They haven’t published an album they just play old stuff.10) Metallica - not that I don’t like them but they are heavy.9) Megadeth - they did not lose their original sound like Metallica, that’s why I put Megadeth above Metallica.8) Exodus - they basically use names similar to the album bonded by blood but I still like them.7) Testament - They kinda sound I but more groove to me than thrash.6) Anthrax - I really like their spirit on keeping thrash alive but it’s not enough.5) Destruction - They did stick to their roots in every album they recorded with Schmier.4) Sodom - They are most-likely trying to keep their sound similar but different than others.3) Slayer - Now I don’t overrate them, they sure are a hell of a band but I want to be sincere with y’all.2) Overkill - They stuck with their roots like some other thrash bands did and indeed they did go groove metal in their 90’s era and they proved to be loyal to their fans.1) Kreator - now, like it or not they are the thrashiest band right now, sure they are my favorite band but they did not lose their sound after all these years, sure is that Gods of Violence is melodic death metal influenced like the other 4 ( Violent Revolution, Enemy of God , Hordes of Chaos and Phantom Antichrist) but the fans seem to like them more now and as the kings of thrash. Please don’t bring albums from the 80’s and tell me that those records makes them Kings , this is just my opinion.
