The Kovenant literally must be the most underrated band of all time!i mean, look, they took a big crap on babylon zoo by making a cover sound better than the original.All of Kovenant's music is brilliant... such a shame we still waiting for Aria Galatica years and years later.

Funny how people either love or hate this song (and album/direction of the band for that matter.) I loved Nexus Polaris and yeah would have preferred they stayed writing that kind of music but I love this album as well. Black metal started off as a completely original form of music with those early pioneers like Euronymous and Varg, Ihsahn and Samoth etc creating a totally new genre. And as a whole, from '94-'99 the bands matured and expanded on those early experiments. But since 2000 and the "True Norwegian Black Metal" movement the genre has become stale with hundreds of darkthrone clones. So I won't fault a band like Kovenant or Arcturus or Dodheimsgard etc for redefining themselves because it was that experimental nature that made early black metal so great. Ironic to me that when I first became aware of black metal I thought it was so great precisely because of its lack of rigid borders (Obtained Enslavement, Emperor, Enslaved, Gorgoroth etc pushing the envelope with each new release) and now it's become so structured and the bands indecipherable from each other.
