I like to freestyle on this song about studying: Everyday studying, Everyday Learning, Try new things and try new studies. Make friends in the library or during math class. I studied 4 years in America it was the best time of my life, i had the best gradess in class, every study i pass. Networking, socialising and making friends. It was the best time of my life, you should it try it too. Peace, Respect, Melvin, Contact me if you liked my freestyle: [email protected]

i don't think you understand my point of view. it's different when you see how the music grow from Nippon then American eyes .., i just think it funny why many people put Jun in such a high pedestal.

Many of those you listed have found inspiration and structure from Nujabes, Kondor being one of the main ones. You can't disregard Nujabe's fame and how he brought the genre to the masses and the western front.

i would have to disagree with you when you claim that Nujabes as the "foundation" of this genre, instrumental hip-hop, nujazz, etc. as a person from Nippon coming to US. i find it funny when people put nujabes in such a high pedestal. he is amazing but they're other artist equally as popular as him. DJ whitesmith, Dj okawari, kondor, ,Mamoru Fujisawa, michita, heRajika tracks, TOKiMONSTA are just as famous. think it would be wise to do your research before you claim such a high statement.

this is definitely spirited away aahh i hate when i realize where songs come from because then i get too buzy just comparing it to the original rather than enjoying it

If you wanna get technical, they'd all be considered a form of Jazz-hop (a sub-category of Nu-jazz) as they are all use the art of sampling from or using a Jazz-oriented style as a base for their work and adding beats to the background. But yeah, they all definitely have their own unique "sound" to their work. I'd say only Nujabes and Uyama Hiroto really fit this category as they actually incorporate Jazz into their works. Artists like Nomak and Kondor IMO have a more ambient, ethereal sound.

The way I look at it Nujabes: Really hip-hop oriented with alot of Jazz Influences. I think of Nujabes as the "foundation", as many other artists worked besides him. Uyama Hiroto- Really soul oriented and Jazzy. Not as hip-hop oriented. Nomak- Really electronic with glitching and sampling, Hip-Hop influenced. Kondor- Seems to be alot more upbeat classical and piano based. I honestly love how all the artists who worked with Nujabes evolved and created their own seprate style. Love em!

Very different sound, but similar in style musically. Nujabes has much more of a jazz/ soul influence compared to Kondor. Both are awesome artists though. =)

Ever got that feeling where you listen to some of the greatest music you ever heard and you start to put a smile on your face and you try to (but can't) hold it back? That's what I'm feeling right now.
