Koffee Brown was way ahead of their time!  The songs can be played on the radio today.  Every song on this album is good listening as the whole album tells a story of relationship issues from both the male and female perspective.  Fonz and Vee were individual artists that became a group at the suggestion of Clive Davis. Even though they were under a three album contract, bad luck and circumstances killed their career.  Fonz & Vee got involved with each other and when the relationship faded, so did their desire to work together.  Also they were sued by another group who said Koffee Brown was the name of their group.  Arista shelved KB's projects until the outcome of the lawsuit.  During that time, Arista shut down, and thus ended the record contract.  The lawsuit was never settled nor heard about again.
