Wish he would cover this song again. Love his raspy rough version of the song.

I'm always prepared for the best or the worst when EC attempts a cover, but he nails this one. Great job. Thanks for posting it.

wow, I'll never feel bad about pulling a note here and there anymore in a live setting. With the American Idol school of pitch perfect, this stuff really stands out

Pete Townshend is a big fan as well, though he kept that one quiet for many years.

Excuse me, but who made this song sound good was ABBA. Elvis is a good singer but no way to compare his version to the original one. With regards to Dancing Queen, I doubt he could reach such a high tone like Frida and Agnetha did. Hope you don't get upset with my view of your thread.

Love this performance, Elvis wrings every last ounce of emotion out of the song.

Saw Elvis and his spinning songbook at the Liverpool Empire tonight. Great gig. Sadly, he didn't perform this cover again.

Thanks for posting this! I was there at the concert and remember it well. I went to the concert the night before (or the night after?) at the same venue. I also recall the little fella from 'Scully' doing a couple of numbers with him... Great gig

Any video of Elvis covering The Name Of The Game? He has been quoted as being astonished by the chord structure of that tune.

Nice reading.... Winner takes it all is a pretty good splitting up song but this one pulls no punches... Great songs are great songs no matter who is singing...

Thanks for posting! Elvis has said that Knowing Me, Knowing You is the greatest song ever written about divorce. His rough-hewn voice gives the song even more pathos. (Though the original, with Agnetha Faltskog and Frida Lyngstad's harmony on that soaring chorus still gives me chills.)

Fantastic! I have to admit, I think this song would have been a hit almost regardless of who had performed it, though it certainly would have if Costello's version had been the first.

Wow, I'm amazed any of this gig at the Royal Court was recorded. First time I ever saw Elvis live and such a great fun concert with the whole spinning songbook concept.
