but "naan bread" makes more sense in the sense that the next line he says, "everybody turned butter chicken," and as i mentioned above, butter chicken is a popular indian dish, often eaten with naan bread. also naan bread has the visual advantage: NAAN BREAD - k'NAAN DEAD.

Yes, naan bread is a food, but k'naan is saying "nom bread". The line goes "cause way back n's wanted K'naan dead. But now K's getting so much nom bread" He is not talking about indian food, rather about all the money makes, so now people don't want to kill him. it also rimes with "mom bled"

"naan bread" not "nom bread." naan is a type of bread eaten with indian and pakistani food. "butter chicken" (aka chicken makni) is another popular indian/pakistani dish.
