KMFDM's Today just came up on my Spotify. I rather enjoy this song. The whole album's great. But I dig Today a lot. I have a strange memory associated with this album. The day of its release, I skipped school. It was just some random day, and I was eager to pick up the new KMDFM record.What I didn't expect, though, was for two students in Littleton Colorado that kind of looked and dressed like me to walk into their school that morning and shoot a bunch of their peers. So, when I went to school late, school security stopped me. They figured that since I looked like them, I was clearly planning a similar assault. I spent a great deal of time at the school therapist over the course of the next week, being asked condescending questions that ultimately amounted to, "do you feel like killing everyone here?" Eventually, I walked out with a relatively clean bill of health, and a slightly more jaded view of authority. So there's a little bit of sharing for the evening. Enjoy the KMFDM. KMFDM - Today
