Got this on 7", 12" and 12" remix as well as loads of other earlier KLF and JAMs stuff. Even got a copy of 1987 on vinyl somewhere. And Chill Out. Quality mu(sic)

I agree. It did a good job of emulating a bit of SAW and PSBs. Underrated. Mind you, was the singles charts ever such a good indication of a good track.

Interesting stuff for home brewers, all the sounds on this track are bizarrely on the KXStudio Linux Distro. The DX100 emulator included in the bundle even includes the very bass patch used here :) Other stuff worth checking out are Brilliant (spin-off act Mel&Kim aren't bad either) and Carter USM, The Sahmen are cool too. Whatever did happen to Acid Punk, it was fucking awesome. If you're interested or sad enough to like this sort of things check out the rather silly Stellar Art Wars, So Out There, SAW Surfers along with the SAW/PWL tribute The Spencer Show.

I wonder what they will do at the end of the video with that satellite.

It's a hilarious rip-off of Left To My Own Devices. Genius. Love this track.

I can remember buying NME in Australia. Records & tapes were the only way to buy music and imports for me were unheard of. I remember seeing this in NME in the charts section and thinking what a strange title. Kylie and Jason were at the peak of their 80's popularity and this song was something of an exotic mystery. Then I forgot all about it. I can't think what me suddenly want to look it up in 2013 but I am glad I did - KLF you are so cool. Respect.

But of course. This music was designed to be a pop chart success. Read the wiki article about it.

Bill Drummond was a Scotsman (he's got a strong Scottish accent, though he was actually born in South Africa!), Jimmy Cauty, on the other hand, I'm not sure where he was born (conflicting info), but he has (or at least HAD) a southern English accent, but one I'm unable to pinpoint exactly. I'm sure I read somewhere he was from Devon originally, but he doesn't seem to have a Devonshire accent.
