I also picked up the hurried playing. One theory was that the fast pace was to make the rock-disco numbers - Radioactive, New York Groove, 2000 Man and I Was Made for Lovin' You - sound heavier. the other, more realstic theory was that Ace and Peter had such problems with the chemicals that it was a case of lets get this show over with before tragedy strikes.

This hit by KISS hit #31 on the Top 40 charts, #16 in Sweden, #32 in the United Kingdom & Germany. And it hit (drum roll, please) #1 in Canada. This tour was my first time seeing KISS. It was June 1979 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. Whiteface opened.

Big kiss fan as a kid, 1st rock show at the Garden 1979, promised the parents I wouldn't leave Penn Station yeah right. Was heart broken the stage wasn't the same as KISS Alive II with the lit stairs cause that was what I worshiped on the poster for so long; also wanted to see those costumes but oh well. They only played for 90 min including oncore RIP OFF! Even then I knew at least 2hrs is the min. Later discovered Hendrix, Zep, Bowie, etc. ripped all my KISS stuff down and never looked back.
