Revenge & COS kiss was pretty kick ass. They just put making money over musical expression. thats when they went to shit.

I find it interesting that back in the day, I'm talkin 1978 Gene was what everyone asociated with Kiss. But nowadays I see everyone saying just as pasionately that Ace, or Paul or Peter was the best or most important to the band in different areas. It says a lot about how they broke ground and (even though no one gives them credit) were good songwriters, musicians and performers. Gene's legacy however hasn't been so good among kiss fans.

@The1Bower yeh well if destroyer, elder, and unmasked is "growth"! they should have stayed in 1975! gene always claimed he could care less what critics thought but its obvious he did everything he could to "grow" and please them with crap!

@sjdss Nothing stays the same. EVER! Regardless of money... It's called growth. As a human, as a musician.

@akbill2 That's excellent, the Anchorage show is legendary, I'd read about it many times in various books and articles, seen a few pics, etc. It's cool that you actually got to be at the show and get to talk to them at such an early stage of their career too. Thumbs up man!

This show was held at a venue about 15 minutes away from where I grew up, but I was only 1 year old at the time! I've heard about this show from various folks over the years and always would daydream about how amazing it'd have been to see this show. So it's a real treat that this recording exists and can partially fullfill that dream I've had for so many years of experiencing this particular show!
