This was intense. Just goes to show how great KISS was with Eric Carr & Bruce Kulick. There are so many great videos of them playing 80's songs and rearranged classics in ways that the original lineup could only dream of. Like Paul Stanley said when they unmasked back in 1983: "people hear with their eyes."

They really rushed through the song live. Great version on Asylum though!

@mckennal1851 I felt exactly the same way when I 1st heard it. Some radio station played it and I was like.."Holy shit...This is gonna be an amazing album!" Turned out it was probably the best song on it(Who Wants To be Lonely" a close 2nd). Amazing memory for me, despite the poor quality of this particular recording. But I appreciate it, as this is kinda what it sounded like from shitty seats back then hahaha. KISS rules

I agree. The 70's stuff is their best, but Dynasty, Unmasked AND The Elder had some really good stuff on them, it was just different, but still good. Is that you from Unmasked, aong with She's so europeon. Save your love off Dynasty and Dirty Livin. Good stuff.

@108377 Cool to hear rare stuff like this. any film footage would be awesome. I went to this tour in K.C. Mo. I dont remember them playing this, it would be cool to find the set list for that show just to see. I know by this point in the tour they quit using the asylum faces on the stage, because they didnt like running around on their own faces,or at least thats what they said at the time....

There isn't a livevideo from this song.. I wish it was! KISS played it 3 or 4 times at the beginning of the Asylum tour then they dropped it.. maybe there is some 8mm footage of the beginning shows but I don't have it..

I must agree. Man do I hate that song. It was fun and I enjoyed it, but sheesh, seriously? I was really surprised Paul added it to his solo set. From all the songs he's written he couldn't have found ANYTHING else besides that tired old tune? As if we haven't heard it enough? Who Wants To Be Lonely Ain't Quite Right Love Her All I Can C'mon And Love Me Anything For My Baby ...something off KILLERS would have been crazy!

I enjoyed the 80's material, but Gene's work was subpar during that time. His lyrics were mostly dreadful. Especially Animalize. I can hardly stand Crazy Nights at all --sorry--. Hot in the Shade is pretty bad as well. There are some moments on both, but songs like My Way? Ouch. Read My Body? Holy Cow that's a dreadful tune. Lick It Up, Animalize & Asylum have good tunes. I've Had Enough, Get All U Can Take, Creature anxious to hear Sonic Boom that's about to be released, too...

yeah exactly. imagine them adding this song in their setlist, it would be really good! I think they should also add crazy crazy nights to the next setlist.
