Mark wasn't bad, but a little too heavy play. Well for me on the first place is Bruce, then Vinnie, Ace, Mark and Tommy

1) Ace Frehley : powerful play, cool r'n'r rythm and top expression.2) Bruce Kulick : best play by far than all others. Interesting ad-lib.3) Vinnie Vincent : surprisingly good version. Clear play and great sound!4) Mark St. John : crappy sound so hard to tell. No melody, just repeated tricks.5) Tommy Thayer : i like Tommy but this one has no interest at all. Sort of copycat.

Ace seems to have the soul/feel thing hands downbut Bruce is a close second. Also, I don't like to admit it, but Tommy does have a great feel.

Not at all surprised that after all these years Ace still feels the best. I never noticed back in the day how much Vinnie was influenced by Randy Rhoades....but I can hear it loud and clear here.

Yo creo que el mas viola-mentes que hay, es el solo de Vinnie Vincent. Una mezcla perfecta de shred y clasico. Fantastico.

Ace by a mile! And that wasn't even his best recorded Love Gun solo... the one on the Alive II album itself is pure awesome Ace-ness!!!After Ace it goes:TommyBruceVinnieMark (Mark got beat out by Vinnie mostly just because the recording of his was so bad you could hardly hear it... but had it been a better recording he may well have beaten Vinnie for 2nd to last... Vinnie's was pretty terrible... almost no attempt to actually play the real solo from the song.)

Ace had his own unique sound. It was one reason I Ioved KISS. They are all great guitarists but some sounds just don't fit. Ace was sometimes sloppy, but, his Les Paul sound made the KISS sound. The Charvel Jackson shredders just didn't fit. For all of the shit Tommy Thayer takes these days he does the BEST job at trying to preserve the truest sound of good old vintage KISS. Ace, Tommy, Bruce, Vinnie, Mark.

Tommy is definitely not a copycat. He stays true to the original song, unlike Vinnie, Bruce, and Mark. Winner: Ace Frehley. Second place: Tommy Thayer.

No one beats Ace , he was the pioneer that everyone has copied or tried to sound like. As with the Highlander movies " THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE '' That would be Ace Frehley. Tommy is close, but look who he copied, and I think Ace already talked about that, enough said. Ace Frehley your original fans are still here. We haven't left.

Only a loser thinks any of these copycats are in the league of ACE you're kidding right?!. . ACE is way more talented than these hired hacks they just copied ACE they did nothing else ACE wrote these solo wrote KISS songs and his guitar work saved so many lame songs that gene and paul wrote!. .
