KISS performing the mighty "God Of Thunder" at the Budokan, Tokyo, Japan, during the evening performance on 2 April 1977. This includes the full Peter Criss solo and not the heavily edited, mixed and watered-down version we get on the "official" KISS Alive II. For all the negative publicity Peter has either created or attracted since he left the band, this is the Peter I would rather remember...

Just to clarify for those people who have never heard of the KISS bootleg album, "Lost Alive II", this is NOT, I repeat NOT, from KISS Alive II, nor from the Alive II Tour. This is from the Rock and Roll Over Tour. This concert recording was recorded by Eddie Kramer for the next live KISS album, but was shelved. It is known as "Lost Alive II".

Peter was a swing drummer. He played from the gut & with feeling. And it's a shame he became a drug addict, who worried more about copping some blow, pills, etc than perfecting his craft. Same goes for Ace. What could have been......

Old kiss is the best "Peter Chris on the drums" they put rock n roll in my blood. 40 years later still the best music in the world. 70's 80's we grew up with the best rock EVER.

We were out looking for (hopefully) good vinyl finds today in recycle shops and I was thrilled to come across Double Platinum by Kiss. This video is from a concert played at the Budokan in Tokyo.

That solo is close to what Neil was playing back then, and it sounds pretty damn good. Wonder who influenced who. Thanks for posting this.

That was probably Kiss best years, very tight and Ace and Peter very good but as we all know it kind of went downhill from there, still a HUGE kiss fan an seen them several times, all over the world, still enjoy their concerts today
