The Brooklyn Bridge show is the perfect example of why the original band was like no other band ever. Sadly Ace, who was my favorite band member back in the 70's, and Peter had challenges in their life that brought an end to the originals.There is something magical that happens when the four of them are together. Today when Ace plays he barely puts much effort into his performance as a whole. I can hardly watch because it's disappointing to see how lackluster he is. Watch the Brooklyn Bridge video of New York Groove and see his jumping, moving...he's alive..not on life support. That is the Ace I remember from 1976 - 1980 and the Ace that I believe is a god! I believe Gene and Paul brought out the best in Ace and ego and addiction destroyed it.To all the haters who slam Gene and Paul for continuing to go on...you were once fans and you now remind me of the haters I had to deal with in the 70's who said KISS sucks. Sad how you've become just like those you once hated.Nearly 40 years after I became a fan I'm still watching KISS videos....I'm blessed to have been a fan and to still see amazing snippets of their work.

This was six months or so into their first reunion tour. It was a short set for the MTV video music awards performed at the Fulton Ferry Landing below the Brooklyn Bridge. They played Rock and roll all nite, New York groove, Deuce, Calling Dr. Love & Love gun.I was at this performance and it was pretty fun. Sebastian Bach was in the crowd with some silicone sister and he wouldn't stop screaming the whole time. I never liked his "music," but he has a powerful voice even without amplification.

This is one reason why they are in HOF. Deuce was/is a staple. There was a lot of competition in 1970's and 80's, but a lot of bands deserved it: Led Zep, Who, Aerosmith, KISS, Eagles, etc. in no particular order.
