I wish KISS would have used this version as well as Paul's version of GOD of THUNDER.

This has been my favorite KISS demo for a long time. The album they were going to release after unmasked was going to be called Rockin With The Boys. This would have been one of the songs that would have been considered for that album. Instead Bob Ezrin stepped in and changed the course of KISSTORY. While I love The Elder that period was an interesting time in the bands existence. Glad we at least have this demo. Killer song

So, there's no way I can find a cleaner/official version of this exact version of this song?!! This is too good.

I've always preferred this demo to the album version. This just has more "soul " to it, like it's more of a KISS song ,instead of KISS trying to out glam the glam rock of the 80's. This was KISS sticking to their guns.

Gene took one line from this song and added it to his Asylum song "Love's A Deadly Weopon". Otherwise, this song has no relation to the 1985 song. This was a demo for the album that was scrapped when Bob Ezrin wanted to do the elder. I've heard rumors that several songs on Wendy O Williams solo album were tracks recorded during this period as well. Allegedly, most of that record was Wendy's vocals overdubbed to kiss demos for the album they didn't finish. If you listen to the demo for Its My Life, them listen to Wendy O's version, they are identical. Ace, Paul, Gene, and Eric are heavily credited on that album. Very possible that is mostly the unreleased "Deadly Weopons" album.

The photos are taken from the web. Some of them are from the KISSTORY book.

KISStory lesson for those who think they know. The ONLY similarity between this and "Love's A Deadly Weapon" on Asylum are the lyrics "Love's a deadly weapon and murder's on my mind" - other than that, there are ZERO similarities between the songs, mostly because this is a Paul Stanley composition (unknown if alone or with help) and the Asylum song was a Gene Simmons collaborative composition with outside writers.

This actually has a Wicked Lester vibe. Maybe it's because Paul's vocals just were polished on this.
