20 Crazy Nights (a two year wait for this crap?)19 Hot In The Shade (less is more... drop five clunkers and it's a great album)18 Carnival Of Souls: TFS (some great songs, but the album as a whole is depressing, except for "In The Mirror")17 Asylum (some great songs, ruined by awful (and egoful) production)16 Sonic Boom (a sonic bust is more like it... forgettable except for MDD) 15 Psycho Circus (some very strong songs combined with some absolute garbage) (Within? I could do without!)14 Unmasked (wrong album to bring KISS into the '80s)13 Monster (far better songs than Sonic Boom, but 20 years too late to grab anyone)12 Dressed To Kill (great drumming and guitar, but too short (the shortest) of an album with too many forgettable songs like... I can't remember their names11 Animalize (Paul songs are great, Gene songs suffer... Meh, I can happily go on without listening to Destroyer and just hear those tracks in their live setting while watching KISS shows from the 70s up until Sydney '80 on YouTube. As a record it mostly bores me... Good to see Creatures high, though by no means would I put it THAT high. But it is a very solid record. Nice to see Love Gun beat Rock And Roll Over! =DAnd THANK YOU for putting The Elder where it belongs... at the bottom!Dynasty, Ace Frehley solo, Unmasked, Alive!, Dressed To Kill, Love Gun, Creatures and Hotter Than Hell; those are my KISS staples as far as albums go.

Destroyer is so overrated..never understood the praise that album gets. I think people just day its the best because everyone else says its the best. But it's clearly not.

This is actually a pretty decent list. Oh and I own all 20. You are spot on with the 2 worst, but the glaring misrank imo is The Elder. It's the one album that has grown on me the most over the years. Some of the bands lightest and heaviest material on record. I know it's a headscratcher of a release, but it's definitely earned some loyal fans over the years and I am one. Love Gun came out in 77 and my personal fave is Hotter Than Hell...muddy sound and all. Destroyer I feel is over rated and this list reminds me of it. Like Creatures in the #2 spot.Solid list.

I personally and honestly preffer the newer KISS albums over the oldest ones, the reason why KISS's newer albums are so underrated is how they have moved on in their style of sound which is not taken in a good way by most of the fansyou can notice this refuse to move on by seeing the KISS Army on Yume no ukio ni satemina

If VV had stayed on for Animalize they probably would have had a 2 or 3 million selling classic album, that lineup was fantastic.
