Gaskill suffered a heart attack on February 25, 2012, and was rushed to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. After his release from hospital he posted a video message on Facebook, thanking everyone who had supported him through his illness and then married his long term partner, Julie, in Las Vegas. In October of the same year, Gaskill's NJ home was completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. An internet campaign, via GiveForward.com, to raise $25,000 was immediately launched.According to the King's X Facebook page, Gaskill suffered another heart attack while recovering from a "scheduled minor procedure" on September 12, 2014 and was scheduled to get double bypass surgery within 72 hours. King's X canceled all future shows until further notice. -wiki

One of my favourite bands of all time, you guys should try and get on the download or sonisphere set list. I'm mean you guys opened for AC/DC in the 90's you should be millionaires and world famous by now! People are fickle, such a shame :(

The song's message relates to the band's ongoing changes. They've known each other forever. Racism and homophobia are obstacles Doug's dealt with and the other guys have been right there. The band started out as a Christian band with "Out Of The Silent Planet" which shares the title with a C.S. Lewis book. The Christian scene rejected Pennick's "outing" and the rest of the band followed him out of Christianity and into freethinking.
