Several bands were given credit for ending disco, but it was actually the Police who fired the kill shot.

Funny and painful little story around this song. This was a huge hit when I was just 7 years old, but I knew I wasn't like the other kids especially other boys who seemed to delight in pain (I was in the worst group of shit ever to go through the school system), but I didn't know of course what "I'll Always Be The King Of Pain" meant and this song gave me my first hard on which is about as bizarre as it gets, but I ain't finished- I was reliving a past life. Listen to Iron Maiden and The Police and if you don't love both you don't love music. Music should provoke emotional and physical and spiritual reactions that are positive and Sting does that. Andy Summers was playing in the 60s he's the oldest of the three. Stewart Copeland is a super drummer. I love The Police with each passing day and year like how I love The Little River Band and bands never popular here like Diamond Head. Something about England. Something in Sting's voice melts my heart like Jon Anderson's and Colin Blunstone's so another story is one day I was screaming out a bunch of high notes when I was 25 or so and found my range to be very high and then just recently discovered I sing well over 2 octaves! Little things can sometimes be the biggest magic. Magic happens. Magic lives in music. It lives in your heart. Keep the magic that's in your heart and don't fear it. Trust me your first mixed experience could have a very beautiful outcome. Love to you all. Ben
