@Isobellyjellybean - Cool, I will check it out. According to their WIki page, Dog Fly Religion was their second name, shown in parentheses on at least their first two albums. I have always wondered, as I used to play w the original napster, and found a track called "Dog Fly Religion- Double Fucked By Two Black Studs". Now THERE is a name for a song :D

@Erasureboyboy Well...Dog Fly Religion is an album by King Missile. Dogbowl is a name used by Stephen Tunney, who has played with King Missile. There is an hilarious song by King Missile about spotting their lovely friend Muffy in a dirty magazine. You hear them telling their friend Dogbowl that he CAN'T have seen their friend Muffy in such a magazine and he ends up changing his mind 'cos she is way too nice to do such a thing. The song's called er...Muffy.

@Isobellyjellybean - your description of Johnson is awesome. I have heard of Dog Fly Religion, is that the same as Dogbowl? I heard Mr Johnson in 1993 on the college radio station in Minneapolis, Radio K, and loved it so much more than the already popular "Detachable Penis" and "Martin Scorsese".... Cheers to you! :)

@Erasureboyboy My favourite King Missile song, too - a little more melodic. Reminds me a lot of the stuff by a linked band, Dogbowl (I'd recommend "Float" and "You hit me over my head") and their stuff is posted up on You Tube, too. I always imagine the Mr Johnson in this song to have a bald head with spiky tufts above his ears, a red nose and a cross face.
