Hi, Ralf, yeah, this is by far the best Extended Version. I'm still after a good near mint copy of it. I have the US copy (blue cover) with Levine's remix, but this is the rare one and the one to have. I'm from Argentina and only knew of the existence of this version a few years ago. I was curious to hear it, and even though it's a more "regular" extended version, it keeps all the power to it the album version has, which Levine's mix lacks, IMO. Best, EV.

there is a very good dance version of this song also made in circa 1984/1985/1986 by ???? (an unknown italo band ???). A version which is much cooler than Kim Wilde's version. Shame I ignore the name of the artist.

Yeah, major record labels like MCA and Virgin in Germany, and CBS in the Netherlands pressed many releases intended to be distributed across the continental Europe (the reason for your German pressed copy released in France). These mostly followed original UK pressings (often even sharing catalog numbers), though there were some exceptions like this, which doesn't seem to have ever been pressed in the UK, where the artist is from. This is IMO what makes this record a real rarity. Cheers! :)

You might remember, back in the 80s extended versions and remixes were usually released by the record companies as 12" singles (if an artist released a 7" single you could be sure there would be also a 12" format available, especially in the UK). Most of them were commercial releases, although some "promo only" copies often included extra versions that you wouldn't find on the standard copy. I personally still buy vinyl. I collect 12" singles and rip my mp3s from my own collection. :)
