A legend has left us. In my eyes, he pretty much invented the 70's and the 80's. Kim Fowley, thank you x

The opening of this song is pulled directly from the Dissevelt/Baltan LP "Electronic Music", the song is "The Ray Makers".

just missing one note but right on the button! Might have to thank Michael Lloyd and not Fowley for that sequence of tones - he's the one that arranged this.

i love the originality the 60s period,he reminded me of early beefhart on outragous, but originality is what tru music lovers seek, its got character as well,id shake this mans hand people dont realise how easy it is to b predictable n b a yes man for the big labels ambition, this man is highly original in his vocal delivery & lyrical content, its grown on me but 4 the more predictable tastes they wont have heard anything like it & will reject it unless some1 says its gd,i say its tru art

This song always makes me imagine some kind of space age-cartoon. And I always noticed that Close Encounters melody too. You wonder if John Williams got the idea from this guy! Yes Mr. Fowley seems to still get around, and he's got his own Sirius radio show.

has anyone noticed from 1.51 the similarity between the motif and the close encounters riff?

Love this number - only found out today that it's Kim who is the MC introducing the Plastic Ono Band's '69 concert in Toronto. He sure got around......can't believe he's 71 yrs of age next month!
