Lord in heaven when will the world catch up to this most major of talents? How could anyone not love this. And his new limited release is (some of) the best ever. "I Believe in the System of Madness"

That's funny you mention their appearance on SNL, because that's when I saw them first (Mister Softee!). I ran out and bought "Off the Coast of Me" the next day. I lived in NYC, their home base, so I saw them LOTS. First show was The Savoy in NYC in the 40's on the Fresh Fruit tour. Is that SNL season available on DVD?

Wouldn't it be cool if they could play at Barrack Obama's inaugural ball. It would top Soul Asylum at Bill Clinton's.

(continued...) (Sorry ,the "Take me" clip referred to the amazing horn section from the original band...D..ned Youtube and their 500 chars limit !) Speaking of the new band, the girls are still sexy and move pretty well, and they manage to keep the "Stop bragging around Mister Wonderful Thing" spirit alive. Moreover, still today, I don't think that a lot of performances out there can compare to a concert intro or ending by Bongo Eddie : this is definitely the REAL THING !

(continued from former comment...) That horn section is the funkiest, carribeanest, coolest, sambaest, mamboest thing you'll ever hear. This being said, let's admit that the 2000s band still brings a fair amount of groove and excitment, especially for anyone who missed the chance (or was just too young) to see the band perform in the 1980s. If you check the "Take me" clip posted by Adriana, this jumps to your face ! (To be continued on next post...)

Hi there. You kick an opened door here... Of course, nothing, and i mean NOTHING can compare to the original band. You mention the choreography and the comparison with The Leisure Tour 1985 is significant, but what about the band : no horns section will ever be above what Lee Robertson, Charles Lagond and Ken Fradley were able to give . If you check the "Take me" clip posted by Adriana, this jumps to your face ! (To be continued on next post...)
