Hey guys on some of the mics i can hear a second note thats not being played is that something to do with phase or the tuning or what ?

i agree with EV N/D868 sounds more clear and less compressed or scooped like a hear a lot in live shows.. it sounds more musical

Great vid - my least fav is the ribbon mic but I use one t great effect on kick in my studio all the time. EV is clearly the winner here.

Just got on to this video, didn't really care to much for the first 2 mics, the EV N/D868 sounded real good, natural to my ears through the computer with headphones on, the 602 sounded hyped in the low end and brittle in the high end, the shure sounded like a butcher chopped of the entire tone almost all that was there was the attack.What is your take on them, I am looking at gettingthe EV ND868 to go with Senn E604 for toms, a bunch of Sm 57s for most others with a pencil cond for HH and LDCs for OH on a Yamaha set that stays in the studio.
