Thank you, Sir!Just watched all XR videos. Thank you for your great efforts!First, very good selection of sounds!Based on the strong deficit of true musical demonstrations in Youtube ,you are showing in a wonderful way the sounds and music capabilities of XR.Thanks! God bless you!

I might wanna think about getting a Fantom XR module (I usually get keyboards, but this time I could want a few synth modules).( checks EBay)

There are LOTS of great sounds in the Fantom XR, but I found that working with a one-space rack unit and trying to do multi-timbral sequencing was difficult at best. I found the XR operating system to be very unintuitive, and was constantly trying to remember how to do the simplest things. I sold it and ultimately put the money toward my MOX6 (so I guess that answers your question. :) )

Do u prefer this or the mox? Yamaha's reverbs sound more pleasant to me

@jkenndy36 The way it typically works is that you plug the USB port on the keyboard and the USB port on the Fantom XR into USB ports on your computer. You then use a program like Pro Tools to route the MIDI data from the Oxygen into the XR module. I am not familiar specifically with the mbox or Pro Tools. Perhaps take your questions to a forum like the Keys, Synths, and Samplers Forum at the Harmony Central website.

Damn! My oxygen doesn't have MIDI cable input in the back, just the USB. I have and mbox that I use for pro tools. You think connecting the oxygen to the mbox and mbox to the xr will work? Thanks for the help man.

@jkenndy36 I don't know if you can connect a keyboard directly to the Fantom XR via USB. Typically, USB connections are meant for a computer - you connect both to the computer and then use software (DAW software or a MIDI patchbay program) to have the keyboard and synth "talk" to each other. I could be wrong. However, you can definitely connect the Oxygen to the XR using "old fashioned" MIDI cables.

@XxChrisxXBedofRazors I don't know the numbers (I am sure the specs are available at Roland's website). But there are lots of reverbs, choruses, delays, phasers, etc... just about anything you could want.

do i have to load my own sounds to the Fantom XR or do they come with it?if so do i need pro tools to load my sounds to my m-audio with Fantom XR?

I just make these things up on the spot. Find a sound and play something with it. I spend about 15 minutes tops making each one of these videos. :)

With the XR, either one.
