In memory of Whitney Houston, this unlikely-but-spectacular cover version. RIP.

This is horrible. The whole album is. I cried when I saw him at Reading do this and get booed. He is godlike.. but I think he needed more time before his comeback.

Do yourselves a favour and watch the video for Kevin Rowland's cover of 'Concrete & Clay' by Unit 4 Plus 2. The best quality version is on muzu.tv - and no matter how bad your day is going, that will sort you out. He's a genius and a legend and has never been afraid to do whatever the fuck he wanted to.. God Bless Kevin Rowland!

Wonderful, he sings as if his very life depends on it!

What totally stupid comment! The Sex pistols wouldn't have got through X factor, nor The Clash, nor any others of countless great/influential/brilliant artists! have we come to this? everything judged by the standards of Simon Cowells moneyspinning, and now tired, jaded boring show?

Greatest title and album cover of all time. I remember being perplexed when I spotted this in the record store

That's not saying a whole lot. X Factor and Idol are proof that you can polish a turd, but it's still going to be a turd.

Wow.This is Kevin Rowland (of Dexy's Midnight Runners) covering Whitney Houston's The Greatest Love of All. 1) This so didn't need to be covered. Don't need to hear this song anymore. Wasn't that great a song. 2) I do love his voice, but this was soooooooooo not for him. 3) That is why this is hilarious.

Kevin Rowland is one of the great singers. As a Gen-Xer, his unique voice was part of the soundtrack of our lives. And it's amazing that he achieved as much success as he did. From Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, to Too Rye Ay, to Don't Stand Me Down, and the recent album, the band membership was never the same. The members of Dexys are, and have always been, whoever Kevin SAYS they are! Personally, I like Jim Paterson, who co-wrote most of Too Rye Ay.
