Kevin (me) lived in Brooklyn from 1979 to 1990. He (me) lived on Staten Island from 1990 to 1997. He (me) lived in Manhattan from 1997-2000. He (me) never lived in the Bronx. He (me) has lived back in Brooklyn since 2000. To recap: 23 years in Brooklyn, 7 (very formative) years on Staten Island, 3 years in Manhattan. I hope this satiates the controversy and excitement. Enjoy your day!

@XxiNERD2011xX Let me drop some knowledge your way... I usually don't pay much mind to hipsters but...I will make this short and to the point. Kevin is an old friend of mine. My comment was sarcasm. BUT if you want to wave your flag of wisdom make sure it is on the pole right side up. He was born in BK but as a young boy moved to SI. We attended H.S. together here on SI where he spent most of his young adult life and played in a band called delusion ( later renamed Miracle of 86)...

@whomeverthisconcerns They're both good. There is no reason to say that then bash Kevin Devine. No reason to bash anyone. Don't compare anyone to anyone. Why is everyone so pissed all the time?

@misterpine Well actually Bright Eyes dabbles with FAR more genres then Kevin Devine does. (Reggae, Country, Indie, Alt, Rock, Electronica, etc.) Not that anyone should compare either of the artists, knowing they are good at what they do. I love Kevin Devine, but he has no right to even be compared to Conor Oberst. Conor Oberst has went farther, and will continue to excel. Plus, Kevin Devine is the one who is doing Bright Eyes covers, not vice versa.
