Tune your snare up dude! Otherwise, awesome video. I love the Keropes. I work at a music store and we just got a shipment in. I didn't like them at first, but then I jammed on them with a guitarist and bassist and I changed my mind instantly. They are pretty quiet and are really only meant for jazz. But in a jazz context, these cymbals fill the space in the most perfect way. Incredible!!!

Ok, this is not "his" groove! That's Jeff Porcaro's groove man! The snare tuning is interesting, clearly trying to emulate Jeff's on the Roseanna track. I play all K's and can't wait to put my mitts on these Kerope Cymbals.

Haha I beat most of the patina off of mine unfortunately. ( it appears to be some sort of dye in the coating) . And after a month my 22 just died. Now it's like hitting butter. No stick definition and it has lost all of its tone after a month of playing. The agop 30ths are much better in my opinion. I fell in love with them all over again today.

This is Fantastic! Zildjian is Finally making cymbals again...They haven't made a decent cymbal since Avedis was running the company in the early 1960s...I'am also by far not the only working musician one who feels this way. Reminiscent of the 1940s Trans Stamp and 1950s Avedis USA combined with a bit of K Zildjian Istanbul's and "Whalla" Kerope Series...Thank God Zildjian finally started making great cymbals again...Now please just keep them Paper-Thin, Ultra light and wobbly...

Love, love, love this. It's great to see Zildjian making THE K line again, as they should be, that soft, dark feel that the older cymbals have, proper cymbals. And I for one totally dig that dead sound, not that easy to get right, but when you do get it just sweet in the studio, microphones just LOVE it! So musical, and it sounds even better on the Sakae Trilogy. Good on ya ASH.

10.000 + $ drum kit full of tape and tuned as low as it gets... I absolutely love this guy's playing, groove, musicianship, "chillness", etc... is a hero. BUT, I truly think that anyone can get his sound with a beginner's kit. I mean, is a (beautiful) DEAD sound. Don't get me wrong, this is encouranging... think this way: you can sound like Ash Soan. Getting his groove is another think. Keep playing! (Sorry for my spelling)

Zildjian has always been the best at cymbal making, they still are. Great line, dark and warm. That "worn" sound is great, people at Zildjian did fantastic job.#tapingisntbad #nodisrespecttoashsoan
