You can definitely hear his influences, but that's true of many guitar players. His control of the volume knob is superb, allowing him to add many subtle dynamics that non-guitarists probably don't understand. (watch 4:26 then listen thru 5:41 - there are other times he's rolling the knob but those are two clear examples where you can hear the effect of doing so).The bend sequence starting at 5:05 that runs through 5:35 is eargasmic. There are probably 1,000 guitarists making a living right now (and another 10,000 not) that are more technically proficient than KWS but dude has touch & heart, and I'd rather listen to that than someone mindlessly sweeping arpeggios at 200+ bpm. It's not all black & white, though, just because you're technically proficient doesn't mean you can't play with feel, and just because you specialize in blues doesn't mean you aren't technically proficient. At the end of the day, it's all about art. Can you make me feel what you're feeling while you play? If so, you've succeeded. In this video, KWS succeeded

A lot of folks say they can hear SRV in this guy, which I definitely can't argue with. We can just be grateful that there was someone on hand to take the baton after Stevie's sad and sudden passing...

I really enjoyed this strassle, thanks for the send along. A little to mellow perhaps for a morning's play though. But hey, one never knows do one?

Good Morning all! Looks like this is a young man who loves to play? Love, thats a strange word sometimes isn't it? I mean it can come in many different forms. Often it is hard to identify love, at least in the truest sense of the word? But if you want to see it, at least in this video, just have a look right below his chin!

As long as Kenny is alive, Hendrix, SRV and other greats will never die. He's such a great talent.

OMG... this is SO SO unoriginal. If SRV never existed... this guy would be cleaning out bathrooms.

Probably one of the WORST copycat guitar stylist that is still around. Whenever you play the exact same style of an infamous player... especially like SRV & Hendrix, on a Stratocaster... it only makes the Listener want to hear the original origin of that style. It never fails. If you're going to be a serious guitar player, then come up with your own Form & Style on the instrument. Otherwise... you're just ripping someone else off!!

Oh, the talent... and the cross necklace... ahhh! Can I marry him? I think he made me like Pearl Jam just a little bit more!

Is it me or does this song- especially the intro- sound like "Yellow Ledbetter," by Pearl Jam?

Absolutely awesome guitar player ~ influences from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and an array of blues players. This lad can really play. Thought so from his first album when he was like 16.
