I use to listen to this song on repeat back way when.  Today I was searching and searching but in my advanced years I could not for the life of me remember Garret's name.  Then I searched Google for "Sax players of the 90's" and someone was talking about Kenny G.  It then hit me like a bag of door knobs!  Wait, I was trying to remember the other Kenny G.   The good one! lol,  haha.   This song is really catchy.  Especially the beginning phrasing.

Mais c'est de la bombe ce truc !! The groove is so pure, it's like sweet smooth sugar, I can't get enough of it.

Kenny speaks to us as a spokesman of our essential state as a country ravaged by inequality and racism. He combines warmth, anger, feeling, and is perhaps the greatest jazz saxophonists of the 21 century. Note: Miles Davis's had Kenny on his final lineup before he left us.

WestSideOfJazzPlaying with both the Duke Ellington Orchestra AND Miles Davis provides one with a wide and spacious musical palette, and saxophonist demonstrates this with each performance.

Sonny Rollins stuff, like his entire Bridge Album, maybe St. Thomas and all the Saxophone Colossus stuff, and maybe other people don't think so, but I found Coltrane's Giant Steps album to be pretty catchy, of course both of 'em are Tenor sax guys. Either way try like Miles Davis stuff, like the Kind of Blue album has lot's of sax stuff too!

I'm actually hearing h/w diminished there...but he doesn't stick to it really, just the scale up I think.
