I remember I used to see this music video on music channels because my older sister would always watch them when I was 8-9 in 2002 & I never really understood why the white guy took his own life properly at the time but now I'm 21 after having shit times though high school & now shit times from other things like loosing my friends, not being able to get a girlfriend or ever having one, feeling depressed & partly feeling/thinking maybe mentally ill sometimes & other stupid stuff I understand why he took his own life as I've been close to few times & self harm. I know people are worse off then me & I feel selfish for it hence why I never tell anyone how I really feel plus from embarrassment & feeling weak & my family don't notice/care. I don't do it because I don't want to give up but its a on going battle I feel more like I'm loosing. It really sad I'm commenting on how sad my life is to a sad song. Maybe some day everything will finally stop since being like it since being 13-14 or maybe will just end

There is a three year gap between when Columbine happened and when this song/video was created, I don't think that's the shooting people are referring to. I live in Colorado (where Columbine is located) and by 2002, not many people were too sensitive to it anymore, meaning music videos, television shows, and films weren't forbidden to have that type of thing in them. I had a look through Google on school shootings in 2002 and this is what I found:Jan. 15, 2002 / New York, N.Y. - A teenager wounded two students at Martin Luther King Jr. High School.Feb. 19, 2002 / Freising, Germany - Two killed in Eching by a man at the factory from which he had been fired; he then traveled to Freising and killed the headmaster of the technical school from which he had been expelled. He also wounded another teacher before killing himself.April 26, 2002 / Erfurt, Germany - 13 teachers, two students, and one policeman killed, ten wounded by Robert Steinhaeuser, 19, at the Johann Gutenberg secondary school. Steinhaeuser then killed himself.April 29, 2002 / Vlasenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina - One teacher killed, one wounded by Dragoslav Petkovic, 17, who then killed himself.October 28, 2002 / Tucson, Ariz. - Robert S. Flores Jr., 41, a student at the nursing school at the University of Arizona, shot and killed three female professors and then himself.I have no idea what part of 2002 this video came out, so the video could have been changed because any one of those.

Is there backing vocals, from one of the girls from the band TLC in this song? The part she sings "He's not invisible anymore, since he walked through that classroom door". Sounds very like one of them. Great song with such a powerful message too.
