POTIS1

In Greek mythology, Hyperion (Greek: Ὑπερίων, "The High-One") was one of the twelve Titan children of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky or Heaven) who, led by Cronus, overthrew Uranus and were themselves later overthrown by the Olympians. With his sister, the Titaness Theia, Hyperion fathered Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon) and Eos (Dawn).....ΑΥΤΑ!

Not in 1997. You can't fault a band for being influential. Rhapsody was more unique when they first appeared than Keldian is today. I love both bands, but you have to take period into context when judging creativity and originality.

@sw0rd0fadvers1ty This has nothing to do with Rhapsody or Blind Guardian whatsoever. In fact neither of them can compare with Keldian. I see this as being much more creative, much more original. There are umpteen bands like Rhapsody and BG, no one comes close to this!

This is awesome. Why does every power metal band have to be compared to Rhapsody and BG? I love those bands, but I don't get why everything gets compared to them. I listen to this and I don't even think about those bands.

@caesar002 He quotes lines from John Keat's unfinished epic poem, but yes I haven't seen any "Lord of Pain" in there.

@47UrsaeMajoris no there is no reference to lord of pain in keats' poem, so this is propably based on the silneus' cantos in the novel.

@thevillageyid Definitely based on the poem but maybe on the novel too! I just discovered this band today... currently reading Endymion by Simmons. Is the "Lord of Pain" referenced in the Keats poem?

Saturn has fallen... Am I too to fall? Am I to leave this haven of my rest? These crystalline pavilions and pure fanes of all my lucent empire? The blaze the splendor and the symmetry? I cannot see but darkness death and darkness.

I've yet to hear a song from this album that isn't amazing. This song is especially amazing.

This song is great. Seems to be based on the poem by John Keats, and the novel Hyperion by Dan Simmons about the Lord of Pain.
